We begin the evening by picking you up from your hotel in Kiruna and heading toward the breathtaking landscapes of Abisko. As the snowy wilderness unfolds outside your window, anticipation builds for a night filled with celebration and wonder.
Upon arrival in Abisko, we gather at a charming local restaurant for a special New Year’s Eve dinner. The menu is a festive surprise—crafted with seasonal ingredients and Nordic flair. Whether it’s wild game, Arctic fish, or a vegetarian delight, the meal is designed to reflect the spirit of the season and the magic of the north.
After dinner, we set off in search of the Northern Lights. Abisko is world-famous for its clear skies and stunning aurora displays, and our guides will lead you to the best viewing spots based on real-time conditions. Whether the lights swirl gently or explode in color, each sighting feels like nature’s own countdown to midnight.
As the clock approaches twelve, we gather once more—this time under the stars. Fireworks light up the sky in celebration, echoing across the frozen landscape while the aurora dances above. If the mood strikes, we may stop by a local bar or restaurant for a celebratory drink to toast the New Year together.
