You will be picked up from Abisko and nearby areas and travel along a scenic Arctic road, offering beautiful views of forests, rivers, and wide-open northern landscapes. Along the way, keep an eye out for local wildlife such as moose and reindeer, which are often spotted in this region.
Your first stop is the charming village of Jukkasjärvi, home of the world-renowned Icehotel. Enjoy time to explore the Icehotel at your own pace on a self-guided visit. Admire the incredible ice rooms and hand-carved decorations, visit the famous ice bar, and take in the peaceful atmosphere beside the frozen Torne River.
While in Jukkasjärvi, you’ll also visit the historic Jukkasjärvi Church, one of Sweden’s oldest wooden churches. Dating back to the early 1600s, this beautiful red church offers a quiet moment of reflection and a glimpse into the region’s cultural and spiritual history, set against the serene Arctic surroundings.
Afterward, continue to Nutti Sámi Siida, a traditional Sámi museum showcasing the rich heritage, traditions, and daily life of the Sámi people. Here, you’ll learn about Sámi culture and enjoy a hands-on experience feeding reindeer—an unforgettable highlight of the day.
After visiting the Icehotel and Nutti Sámi Siida, we’ll stop for lunch at one of Kiruna’s local restaurants. Lunch is not included in the tour price.
